I've worked at SHASCOM for about 8 years now, and I still love it! I was born in Southern Ca, and was moved to Shasta County when I was 1 and have lived here ever since. I became interested in becoming a public safety dispatcher after a close friend became a Sheriff's Office cadet. I listened to his radio on several occasions and was intrigued by the dispatcher I heard. Shortly after a sit-a-long was arranged and I was paired with a senior dispatcher; I was instantly hooked. A few months later I was hired and i've been here ever since.
Becoming a dispatcher was the best and hardest thing I have ever done in regards to work/career. I had the privledge of being trained by some of The Best in the field, and still continue to learn from them every shift.
During the course of my employment I met my now fiancé, RPD K-9 Officer Nick Weaver. We enjoy the peacefulness of our beautiful mountain home. We have 3 fur children- 2 boxers Beauty and Beast, and Nicks K-9 partner Chyr. We love our dogs; they are pretty much people! Together we enjoy hunting and going to Disneyland as much as possible. I am Disney obsessed! I love all things bling, and can't get enough shoes.
After all these years I still love My job, and Love the people I work with; in and out of the Center. I honestly believe we have some of the BEST public safety employee's around; from the dispatchers here at SHASCOM, to the Redding Police Department, Shasta County Sheriff's Office, Anderson Police Department, Redding Fire Department., and the Mercy and AMR Medic Crews. They ALL ROCK, and I'm proud to say I HAVE THEIR BACKS!
