| SHASCOM is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is composed of the Shasta County Administrative Officer, the Redding City Manager, The Shasta County Sheriff (or Undersheriff as designated by the Sheriff), the Redding Police Chief or Fire Chief (as designated by the Redding City Manager). The Board sets policy for the operation of SHASCOM. In particular the approval of the annual operating budget, establishment of policies and procedures for expenditures of budgeted items, provide for function of program development, policy formulation and program management, set parameters and policies for labor negotiations and employ, direct, evaluate and terminate the Director. The Board currently meets every other month. |
