Our Recruitment Process

SHASCOM is a California POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Agency.  As such, we are required to test all potential applicants to evaluate a candidates’ verbal, reasoning, memory, and perceptual abilities.  To accomplish this, applicants who are selected to move on in the process will be required to take a computerized exam offered at SHASCOM that measures these skills along with decision making and multi-tasking ability.
